International Academy of Web Television Announces Vidcon Producer, Bryan Allen Events, to produce Inaugural IAWTV Awards
The International Academy of Web Television today announced a collaboration with creative events agency, Bryan Allen Events (BAE), to produce its inaugural IAWTV Awards event set for Thursday, January 12, 2012, at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada during International CES. The awards event is the first event presented by the IAWTV to recognize content creators driving today’s Web television industry.
Best known for producing VidCon, the world’s largest online video conference and convention, the BAE team provides the IAWTV its specialized expertise with strong talent in event production, new media, television and Web. Founder and Managing Director Carver Wright has more than 11 years of experience in events and oversees a team that has worked with Comedy Central, Adobe Systems, BlackBoxTV and DFTBA Records to provide extraordinary production value and creative content development.
“As content creators and supporters of Web television, we aim to produce an experience that honors industry professionals while maintaining the spontaneous spirit of the Internet,” says Wright. The BAE team will collaborate with the IAWTV to create a memorable event celebrating excellence in content creation and the academy’s pioneering community, from Web stars to forward-thinking studio executives.
“Debuting from the 2012 International CES, our first-ever IAWTV Awards will be momentous for the Web television industry,” says Amber J. Lawson, chair of the IAWTV Awards committee. “As the community grows and more viewers seek original content made for the Web, the IAWTV Awards will celebrate the creators and content with deserved honors and accolades. Partnering with BAE to produce the event at CES will bring our awards vision to life in so many fantastic ways.”
In the coming weeks, the IAWTV will unveil its event sponsors and live streaming partners, in addition to award nominees. Submissions are currently open for the IAWTV Awards until 11:59pm PST on October 31, 2011. For more information, visit http://www.iawtv.org/awards.
