The IAWTV is a member-volunteer-run organization. Committees work both independently and collaboratively to help maintain and grow the IAWTV.
Members interested in guiding organizational operations may participate in any of 5 committees, each of which contain their own internal structure and sub-committee organization.
IAWTV committees include:
The Awards Committee oversees everything related to and surrounding the IAWTV Awards event and is responsible for anything else that may require ceremony.
The Communications Committee works to shape policies and standards within the IAWTV as an organization and helps with the day-to-day communications between the board of directors, the committees and the membership as a whole. The Committee also works in conjunction with other committees to determine the methods of outreach and other public relations efforts.
The Events Committee works to organize panels, mixers and other events for the academy membership that are not directly related to Awards events.
The Industry Standards Committee works on identifying and defining practical standards for the new medium of the internet that align with the academy mission which those in the industry can choose to use and adopt.
The Membership Committee helps to shape membership policy and address member benefits for the academy.
